Today, several Calvert County Fire & Rescue departments assisted the DCFD with a funeral procession for one of their members. The procession traveled from the District of Columbia down Route 4 to Huntingtown, where the final church service was held. As Chief10C was returning from the So MD Fireman's Parade in St-Mary's Co this afternoon a call was dispatched for a missing person in the Solomons area. Chief10C added herself to the call and joined units on scene searching for the subject. At approximately 1300 hrs todays date units in the Prince Frederick area were alerted for the report of a working structure fire with possible people trapped. M105, CHF10, EMS20D, PA204 all marked up on the call, CHF10 and M105 arrived on scene in under 5 mins and met with the occupants of the structure to confirm no one was trapped in the home. At approximately 1240 today Calvert Sheriffs Deputy's called out an MVC with rollover in the Dunkirk area. E51 and PA205 quickly responded along with Sq6 and CHF10. Units arrived on scene and found two stable patients and held the assignment to Dunkirk and CHF10. PA205 transported one patient to an area trauma center while the other patient refused care.... Last week, CALS had the privilege to partner with and participate in two Mock Crashes with local first responders; Huntingtown High School (8 Apr) and Calvert High School (10 Apr).
